Heather Brown, Artist

Bio, Shows, Press, & Galleries

Aloha! My name is Heather Brown and I am a local artist on the North Shore of Oahu.
I have received my Bachelors in Fine Arts from the University of Hawaii at Manoa with an emphasis in printmaking.
As an ambassador for Foam Magazine and "Artist of the Search" for Rip Curl, I am proud to represent women surfers and artists.
Most of my inspiration comes from my love for the sea, nature, popular surf breaks, and the beauty of the islands.

GICLEE’S

I have been receiving emails recently asking me what a Giclee is, so here is a brief description for those of you who are unsure.
Also my giclee’s can be ordered in different sizes, email me if you have any questions!

Giclée (jee-clay) is an advanced printmaking process for creating high quality fine art reproductions. The Giclée process enables reproduction on virtually the same media as the original artwork. The result is a reproduction that is virtually indistinguishable from the original artwork. Giclée reproductions are recognized as "the next best thing” to owning the original and can be found in the world’s finest museums and art galleries.

All my giclee’s are on stretched canvas with an inch and a half gallery wrap, the art wraps around the edges so you will not need to frame them. They are in small edition sizes, usually around 100 in the edition. They are UV coated and archival.
